Marlborough resident Salvatore Sena Jr. said he will bring new meaning to the concept of giving back to the community if he is elected to office. Sena is a petitioning candidate for the 55th House seat, challenging incumbent state Rep. Robin Green, R-Marlborough. Democrat John Collins of Hebron is also seeking the district seat, which covers the towns of Andover, Bolton, Hebron and Marlborough. Sena has owned his own automotive shop since 1997. He is currently the president of the Towing and Recovery Professionals of Connecticut, and previously sat on its board of directors. He said the experiences in that capacity will benefit him at the state level, helping him to understand both the needs of small business owners and what is required to help restructure systems. “I’m pretty good at figuring things out and I like a challenge,” Sena said.
